Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will: Assist qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures. Prepare the examination room prior to radiological/ultrasound procedures. To act as chaperone during examinations. Receive, admit and prepare patients for examination. Assist with portering/escorting patients to and from wards. Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment. Provide general administration assistance including the collation, distribution and filing of diagnostic imaging reports and films. Enter patient charges and other information accurately onto hospital's computerised administration system. Assist in the maintenance of stocks of contrast agents, linen and consumables to an agreed level.
