Hospital facilities include 3 state of the art digital theatres, 32 beds, Surgical Day Case theatre/endoscopy suite, Surgical Day PODs, private consultation rooms, close monitoring units, Chemotherapy suite, on-site registered pharmacy, Diagnostic scanning unit and a Pathology laboratory.

  • Need high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Deliver high quality ultrasound imaging & reporting for a varied caseload within the department.
  • What are we looking for in a Sonographer?
  • You will have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Postgraduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Post registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting to include Gynae pelvis scanning.
  • Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance programme will also be an advantage.
  • You must have excellent communication and IT skills, along with a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective team work.
