Job summary

As a Mammographer at our Ipswich Hospital , you'll bring advanced technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you're caring by nature. As well as a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), you have a postgraduate qualification in an area of specialisation.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities of a Mammographer; Delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload - within the department, on the ward and in theatre. Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities. Supervising and developing more junior staff members. Providing a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

  • A postgraduate qualification in an area of specialization.
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor training and/ or qualification are desirable.
  • Post registration experience relevant to the role.
