Main duties of the job

What is involved in the role? The position is to be part of the outpatient physiotherapy service, predominantly working evenings and Saturdays treating a variety of MSK outpatients and post -operative patients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients. You will need to be sufficiently confident clinically to be able to lone work, as whilst there will always be other nursing or front of house staff close by or in the building, there will not necessarily be other physiotherapists working along side you. You will be expected to deliver high quality, effective clinical care. You will be expected to adhere to our values and beliefs at Nuffield Health, in which we encourage behaviour which is enterprising, passionate, independent and caring. You will be expected to deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient's needs. As this is fitting around our room availability, the times are fairly set around when there is a room to work from. Available hours are : - 5.00 - 7.00 pm Monday - Friday 8.00 - 4.30 pm Saturday Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. That said, these hours can be fairly fixed, if the clinic hours have been filled with patients. An aspect of the role will involve pre-assessing patients ready for TKR/THR surgery and helping with our new pre-optimisation pathway of this patient group prior to their surgery. An interest in inpatients would be beneficial and the role might also involve seeing patients on the ward if needed.
