Main duties of the job

To support the Clinical Head of Department with the management of the department, providing clinical leadership, shift management and appropriate delegation of work, encouraging strong performance, self-appraisal, continuing development and open and honest conversations. Will manage and maintain your own team. To deputise for the Clinical Head of Department (as required). Co-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care To take on additional responsibilities and extend scope of practice in accordance with patient, clinical and service needs eg. Trainer/Link Practitioner. To contribute towards patient and clinical data reporting, submitting specialist data in response to internal, external and regulatory requests. Work well with consultants who are experts in their field To lead and promote governance activity, championing clinical effectiveness and ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health's Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines. To contribute towards the department's action and service development plans (in line with own role and sphere of practice). To implement all policies and procedures across the department, role modelling clinical excellence and driving consistency, comprehension and compliance. To identify resource requirements

As a Clinical Leader, part of your role will be:
