Main duties of the job

As our Clinical Governance Lead, you will: Champion the organization's brand values. Drive the continuous improvement of our hospital's clinical services by Appraising audit data and outcomes with a focus on meaningful change Analyzing incidents & complaints with a focus on 'closing the loop' Developing & embedding the Hospital Quality Improvement Plan Listening to our patients and key service users to inform the way we care Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that highlight successes and opportunities for improvement and development Engage with the hospital senior leadership team to inform management of risk and opportunities. Ensure the hospital is aligned with regulatory expectation and patient safety initiatives Manage a contemporaneous hospital risk register with a focus on risk reduction Inform and develop local & national policy Provide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise on governance processes to all those involved in the leadership of clinical care Helping you feel good. About us

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
