Lead Radiographer Woking Hospital | Permanent | Full time Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

As a clinical lead you will enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures. Deputise and support Radiology Manager. Assist with routine QA of all Radiographic equipment. Supervise and develop other members of staff. Mentor students and perceptees. Work in partnership supporting practitioners and other departments around the hospital. Provide support for Radiology administrative team.

Lead Radiographer Woking Hospital | Permanent | Full time We are looking for an experienced Lead Radiographer to support our existing proficient, and motivated team. The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic outlook to ensure the delivery of a high quality diagnostic imaging service whilst supporting the Radiology Manager. The Radiology department is a growing and busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, Mammography and MRI. You will undertake a wide range of duties in helping to run the day to day running of a radiology service as well as participating in clinical work. You'll get to enjoy the real respect, rapport and effective working of a close-knit team. This role is 37.5 hours a week with on call duties although some flexibility on hours of working will be required as our department is open 8am - 8pm weekdays and on Saturdays. Helping you feel good.   • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
  • A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
  • A working knowledge of IRMER, IRR and be able to undertake audits. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication and team working abilities.
  • We have a duty to apply to the DBS disclosure on successful candidates.

  • Excellent communicator, customer focused with good IT skills. You will participate in departmental QA, audit and all aspects of mandatory training as well.
