Pharmacy Technician Derby | Pharmacy | Permanent | Part Time Competitive depending on experience 23 hours per week Our pharmacy department currently has an opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician. The opportunity To support the delivery of the Pharmacy service through effective co-ordination of day-to-day activities, including dispensing of medicines from clinically approved prescriptions. All tasks will be carried out under the supervision of a Pharmacist following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). As our Pharmacy Technician you will:

  • Dispensing
  • Medicines reconciliation
  • Checking of Patient own drugs
  • Ordering, receiving and dispensing of controlled drugs
  • counselling patients
  • auditing services
  • The person We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team. To succeed as a Pharmacy Technician;
  • You will need to be Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • You will work as part of our team to deliver a high quality pharmacy service to wards and departments where patient experience and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
  • You will have hospital experience.
  • You will be required to have Good IT Skills, good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
