Perspectum have partnered with the OUH (Oxford University Hospitals, NHS Trust) in opening Oxford's first and only community diagnostics centre, enabling accessible, comfortable diagnostics care locally.You will join a dedicated team of clinicians that are committed to providing a comprehensive and effective diagnostic service to patients within the community in a safe and supportive environment.
Main duties of the job
You will actively work with and support the Lead Nurse and Clinical Manager in providing daily clinical leadership across the wider team to develop and maintain diagnostic services provided to patients and contribute to the safe and efficient running of Oxfords CDC.

If so, we'd love to discuss things further with you joining our Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in Oxfordshire.
Day to day your duties will include:
- Overseeing clinical activities within the CDC and delivering practice in compliance with the applicable CQC regulations.
- Direct patient care including phlebotomy, cannulation, spirometry, preparing for diagnostics, chaperone and response to emergency situations whilst maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, overcoming barriers to understanding and service provision.
- Maintain standards of practice, conduct and decision making and demonstrate a sound problem solving approach to clinical and management issues, seeking advice from senior staff.
- Practice in and ensure staff compliance with relevant clinical policies, procedures, health and safety regulations and the Health and Social Care Act regulations 2010.
- Participate in the implementation and execution of clinical auditing, governance and risk management
- Supervise, teach and support junior nursing and non-nursing staff involved in direct patient care, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake activities and practice within a conducive learning environment
- Report near misses and any untoward incidents, complaints, clinical emergencies, injury or errors as detailed in relevant policies and procedures and assist senior staff in investigating incidents as required.
- Make recommendations towards the ongoing development and improvement of the department.
- Assist in co-ordination of projects and developing practice guidelines and policies based upon robust evidence, clinical excellence and enhanced nursing care to ensure a consistent and regulated approach to both clinical practice and research.
- Comply with post registration education and practice requirements for NMC Revalidation.
- Undertake all relevant statutory and mandatory training using provided e-learning packages and study opportunities.
- Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care
