Modality Partnership Nottingham Division have a full time vacancy for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP). We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in providing high-quality medical care to patients within the Windmill Practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess strong medication administration skills along with in-depth anatomy knowledge.

Main duties of the job
The role is an all-rounded, patient facing role with triage built in as well as administration work which is associated with the role of the ANP. We are seeking individuals to join our team who are caring, compassionate and confident, who demonstrate effective communication, excellent clinical assessment skills, IT skills, and the ability to treat patients with holistic care. The postholder will be a key member of the practice team and will be responsible for patients either face to face or via telephone consultation. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
The role is not a regular 9am-5pm job and is not solely a patient face-to-face role; the job requires innovation, flexibility and commitment and the postholder will be required to work resourcefully as part of the team to support patients with medication compliance, to prioritise their own health needs, and intervene appropriately with complex, urgent and emergency situations.

- Respond to medical problems presented by patients including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.
- Provision of appropriate preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care.
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice.
- Maintain the patients clinical record to a high standard and take all reasonable steps to safeguard the confidentiality of the medical notes of your patients.
- Contribute to evaluation /audit and clinical standard setting.
- To make full contribution towards the Health Care Teams aims and objectives ensuring effective teamwork by attending meetings relating to duties.
- Subject to your other duties, you are required to seek to work in a co-operative way with staff at all times.
- Undertake clinically related administration needed for the delivery of medical services.
- To teach, develop and support all health care professionals.
- Provide cover, where necessary, for absent colleagues during periods of annual leave or sickness.
- In exceptional circumstances, provide additional services on an emergency basis as are within the post holders clinical competence and which would not otherwise jeopardise the delivery of medical services to patients.
- Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the post and within the post holders clinical competence.
