Job summary
Were looking for enthusiastic and passionate Band 5Nurses tojoin our friendly and welcoming Wardteam based on our Sapphire Ward at Gravesham Community Hospital, North Kentto help us to continue to change things for the better.
As a Ward Nurse, you will work collaboratively alongside our multi-disciplinary teams. We have 21beds for patients where you will be responsible for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning delivery and evaluation of patient care.You should be passionate about the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered from a stroke/neurological condition in your care and be encouraging them, to aid their ability for independent living.
You will use your strongcommunication and organisation skills, along with a flexible approach, to ensureyou deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of theirhealthcare journey.
Youll care forpatientsand their families in the way thatyou believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing bestpractice, and actively improving the way we work to help us continue to change things for the better. We currently havefull-time position (37.5 hours per week).
Main duties of the job
Within this role, you will:
- Maintain a high standard of patient focused care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
- Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
- Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
