Part Time: 22.5 Hours per week
Were looking for a motivated and caring team member to support our busy Minor Injury Unit. You'll work alongside a friendly, multi-professional team, delivering high-quality care and ensuring every patient receives individualised, compassionate support. Your role will include assisting with patient treatment, supporting fracture and dressing clinics, maintaining infection control, and helping with essential admin tasks from stock ordering to updating patient records and ensuring onward referrals.

Main duties of the job
To implement treatment by following care plan
To keep the patient at the centre of his or her care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making
To undertake the daily care and support of delegated patients
Support the with some administrative duties in the MIU including stock ordering, ensuring onward referrals have been made and updating the electronic system to acknowledge patient attendance to the MIU. This is not an exhaustive list and tasks will be under the supervision of the clinical lead
To practice the principles and philosophy of individualised patient care in accordance with policy
To obtain consent for any treatment undertaken
Request a chaperone when appropriate or be a chaperone for patients when requested
Deliver treatment, care within an MIU setting as specified in a written care plan, under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
Responsibility and supporting the day-to-day care of patients including monitoring.
To have a good knowledge of infection control, to reduce risk of health care acquired infections.
To communicate with individuals about routine and daily activities, this may include overcoming difficulties (e.g. hearing/language).
To ensure the needs and wishes of the individual are documented.
To work within a multi-professional team
To undertake specific tasks as delegated.
To assist registered and junior staff, referring to registered staff when necessary.
