Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilledCore Skills Trainerto join our Non-Clinical Training team.
You will play a vital role in supporting the design, development, and delivery of non-clinical learning and development programmes across the organisation, its partners, and customers.
The Core Skills Trainer will deliver a diverse range of core skills training to ensure all non-clinical staff have access to high-quality, relevant, and accessible learning.
This role will enhance professional development, strengthen workforce capability, and contribute to achieving organisational objectives.
Base: Regional Office, hybrid working with regular national and regional travel as required.
Application Process
There will be a first stage virtual interview conducted via an AI platform called Willo.
Applicants progressing to the second stage will be invited to meet via Microsoft Teams and facilitate a microlearning session.
Next, select candidates will be invited to meet in person in the weeks beginning 15th and 22nd September 2025 in either London, Coventry or Runcorn
Main duties of the job
- Design, develop, and deliver non-clinical learning programmes using best practice, adult learning principles, and varied delivery methods.
- Deliver core skills and professional development training in response to organisational needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, standards, and best practice in workforce training.
- Use digital learning tools effectively to enhance delivery and accessibility.
- Ensure training is inclusive, accessible, and responsive to a diverse workforce.
- Contribute to KPI achievement, reporting, quality assurance, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement and support business case development.
- Coordinate training schedules to meet organisational and customer requirements.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and service improvement.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential
Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification or experience) in Education, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related field
Professional Teaching / Training Qualification
Leadership / Management Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Demonstrable understanding of adult learning theory, training needs analysis and evaluation frameworks
Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality learning programmes that support workforce capability
Experience of team / collaborative working
Evidence of continuing professional development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion principles in learning design and delivery
Ability to work independently / manage own time efficiently
Advanced IT skills and proficiency including experience and confidence in using IT systems and applications incliding Microsoft Office suite and Excel.

Project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams concurrently
Experience of developing business cases and improvement plans
