Join Our Team as a Physiotherapy Assistant 30 Hours per Week

Location: Chippenham Community Hospital Outpatient Physiotherapy Department

Were looking for a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly Outpatient Physiotherapy team at Chippenham Community Hospital.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting individuals through their rehabilitation journey, working within clearly defined protocols and guidelines

Delivering treatments and exercises based on the Physiotherapists plan and patient goals

Assisting patients both one-on

Main duties of the job

1. To work within the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary Team.

2. To deliver treatment by following the specified plan from the Physiotherapist and the patients rehabilitation goals.

3. To work within a competency framework, with appropriate training to enable delivery of different treatments, including some simple electrotherapy modalities as instructed by the physiotherapist

4. To keep the patient at the centre of his or her care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making.

5. To undertake the daily rehabilitation and support of delegated patients.

6. Deliver treatment within a group setting as specified in the class schedule, under the guidance of a registered Occupational and/or Physiotherapist.

7. To practice the principles and philosophy of individualised patient care in accordance with Trust Policy, procedures and regulatory bodys guidelines.
