Were looking for dynamic and highly organised individuals to be the first point of contact for patients at our Minor Injury Units (MIU) in Chippenham & Trowbridge. As the heartbeat of our front desks, you'll be essential to creating a warm, welcoming, & efficient experience for all who walk through our doors.
What You'll Do:
Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and care
Manage appointments, phone calls, and patient inquiries
Coordinate with the clinical staff and departments to ensure smooth operations
Handle patient records and maintain confidentiality
What You Bring:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong multitasking and time-management abilities
Previous receptionist or front desk experience (preferably in healthcare)

We have a variety of different shifts available including full & part time likely to be anything between 08:00 17:00 Monday to Friday. Evening shifts likely to be anything between 16:00 20:00 (Chippenham only) Weekend shifts anything between 08:00 20:00.
An Assessment Day will take place on Friday 2 May for those applicants who are shortlisted for interview.

Main duties of the job
Register patients who wish to be seen in MIU.
First point of contact to all patients, relatives and healthcare colleagues visiting the hospital, ensuring that they are dealt with in a professional, appropriate, courteous, calm, and sympathetic manner so they feel welcome and that they are given the information they require.
To deal appropriately, calmly, and courteously with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, GPs, and other healthcare colleagues.
Book in patients for X-ray & ultrasound appointments. Deal with x-ray telephone enquiries and book x-ray appointments.
Data input information onto patient administrative system (SystmOne)
Act as central point of contact for all calls/enquiries to the team, redirecting calls, taking messages, and dealing with enquiries where appropriate.
Support administrative colleagues providing admin support to the team as required. To include word-processing and photocopying for the team.
Maintain filing systems for: electronic files; paper files; personal files; team notice board; patient records; archive filing.
Ensure personal mandatory training compliance and personal development to meet requirements of the post and participate in supervision, training, and appraisal.
Support administrative colleague with checking of invoices as required.
Ensure all office equipment is in working order, reporting faults and monitor progress of repair.
