You will jointly lead our friendly and enthusiastic team based at Gravesham Community Hospital with another full-time Team Lead Speech and Language Therapist.
As a forward-thinking and innovative team, we are always striving to improve and develop our services and we enjoy supporting colleagues to put their ideas into practice. Over the past year we have worked hard to adapt the way we deliver our services during the pandemic, whilst continuing to provide evidence-based and person-centred care. A large proportion of our intervention is currently delivered via telehealth (phone and video consultations) and we have worked hard to find creative ways to ensure we are meeting patients needs.
Gravesham Community Hospital is located a short distance from St Georges ShoppingCentre and is surrounded by well-known food establishments and local coffee shops making it an ideal base location.
Main duties of the job

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy and advice for patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. You will support patients to reach their potential and live their lives to the full. You will be able to focus your clinical work in your area of interest and expertise. The team covers a wide-ranging patient caseload including neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice and dysfluency. We work within the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) to meet the needs of patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury and progressive neurological conditions.
