Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role ofHead of Partnerships and Engagement. This is a leadership position responsible for driving strategic networking and partnership development across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire. As Head of Partnerships and Engagement, you will lead the creation, implementation, and monitoring of our partnership and engagement strategy. This strategy will be grounded in insight, population health intelligence, and best practices, aiming to improve patient outcomes across the region.
In this role, you will report to the Regional Director and work closely with the broader leadership team, playing a critical part in reducing health inequalities and enhancing patient outcomes. You will lead the efforts to improve patient and service user access to care, optimise resources, and deliver the BSW (BaNES, Swindon, and Wiltshire) transformation plan.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the partnership strategy is closely aligned with local health needs and service priorities. This includes using population health intelligence to guide decisions, ensuring that services are responsive to the communities needs, and continuously improving outcomes. A key focus of your role will be developing strong, collaborative relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and service users to create integrated care pathways that provide seamless access to services, while reducing health inequalities.
Main duties of the job
As Head of Partnerships, you will be fully supported and equipped to drive the successful delivery of our BSW transformation plan, ensuring its alignment with the broader organisational goals.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- You will lead the development and execution of a partnership strategy designed to establish, grow, and sustain effective relationships with key partners, with a particular emphasis on the voluntary sector. Your efforts will focus on identifying potential partnership opportunities that enhance community capacity, ensuring these opportunities align with the organisations strategic objectives.
- You will take proactive steps to address and resolve any issues related to partnerships, advocating for both the needs of the organisation and those of external partners. This will involve effective communication and negotiation to foster productive collaborations.
- You will hold overall responsibility for system and service user engagement activities. You will develop and implement metrics to evaluate the impact of these activities, ensuring they contribute to improved outcomes and align with financial performance targets.
- Another key responsibility will be the development and delivery of a comprehensive system engagement strategy. You will engage partners at various levels in the ongoing development and implementation of the transformation plan, in line with the Integrated Care Boards (ICB) vision for Integrated Community-Based Care (ICBC).
