Job summary
Are you a natural leader with a passion for delivering exceptional patient service? Sutherland Lodge Surgery is seeking a dynamic and organizedReceptionist Team Leaderto lead our team of full-time and part-time administrators/receptionists.
You will work at the surgery with a welcoming wider team of colleagues. An understanding of flexible working hours is important as you will be required to support on some evenings and the odd Saturday.
There are opportunities for training & development and you will be supported by a strong leadership team.
Main duties of the job
- Managing the smooth running of a team of 10 receptionists.
- Meeting the telephone answering targets so our patients aren't kept waiting on the phone.
- Ensuring the daily appointment triage system is running smoothly.
- Creating weekly rotas that reflect the needs of the service.
- Arranging the teams annual leave.
- Ensure all staff in the team are adhering to the absence policy.
- Carrying out monthly one-to-ones with the team.
- Carrying out annual appraisals with the team.
- Gain an understanding of where and how to signpost patients to the most appropriate person in the surgery that can help them.

You will preferably have proven experience in a people-management role, have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate professional behaviours at all times.
