Job summary
As a Healthcare Assistant you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary Ward team under the supervision of the registered nurse, where you will provide support to trained staff in the health and personal care of inpatients within the Ward.
This is a full-time role(37.5 hours per week) based at Gravesham Community Hospital.
Gravesham Community Hospital is located a short distance from St Georges ShoppingCentre and is surrounded by well-known food establishments and local coffee shops.
Main duties of the job
- To assist in providing nursing and therapy care as delegated by the Senior Team Lead/Team Sister/Senior Therapistswithin patients homes.
- To maintain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of patients.
- To provide clerical and administrative support to the team as delegated by the Team Leads/Team Sister/ Senior Therapists
- To deliver care in accordance with organisation policies, procedures and guidelines, according to competencies, as delegated by the Senior Sister/Team Sister
- To report any changes in condition of the patient to the Team Lead/Team Sister/Senior Therapistsor in their absence the designated nurse in charge of the caseload.
