Specialist Child and Adolescent MSK Physiotherapist

Job summary

We are looking for a permanentBand 7 PaediatricMSK Physiotherapisttojoin ourCommunity Childrens Therapy Team in West Essex,covering Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest, to help us continue to change things for the better. Therapy will be delivered in clinic, at a number of locations in West Essex between Monday - Friday 9am-5pm however we are flexible with these times and offer hybrid working options.

Youll be involved in supervision of colleagues and improving the delivery of services, whilst working closely with ourteam of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants. Working ina diverse multidisciplinary team with other dedicated staff, you willbenefit from the support of friendly and inclusive colleagues, with access to regular supervision and team meetings.

We are presenting to government and other local authorities around the country on our integrated partnership model with Barnardos, a model that drives efficiencies so we can put more people in our services, spending time with children and families to improve health outcomes in the local community.

Main duties of the job

You willuse your experience to deliver excellent assessment and treatment to a varied selection of children and young people aged 8-18 with diverse MSK conditions with responsibilities including but not limited to:

Supervising the Band 6 MSK physiotherapist including completing the appraisal documentation and caseload review
Lead on departmental development of MSK services.
To review referral rates, caseloads and waiting list in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Team lead.
Liasing with referers and GPs on discharge
Lead and Participate in training programmes within Team.

You will be aqualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registrationand have experience of working with children and young people with MSK conditions. Youwill beinnovative and adaptable, with the ability to work flexibly across specialities as needs arise and a passion for improving the outcomes of children and young people within the local community.

With strong communication and organisation skills, and aflexible approach youwill ensuredelivery of positive experiences to patients at every stage of theirhealthcare journey.
