Job responsibilities
As a Band 5 Looked After Children Staff Nurse within HCRG Care Group you'll join a team who are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Looked After Children in the East Lancashire locality. You will have a passion for supporting the health needs of our Looked After Children in a team of Staff Nurses, Specialist Nurses, Health Visitors and School Nurse. You will be a registered nurse with experience of working with looked after and/or vulnerable children.

Main ResponsibilitiesWithin this role, you will:
- Support the health needs of Looked After Children
- Complete holistic health assessments and packages of health support for Looked After Children
- Work as part of a wider team Staff Nurses, School Nurses, Health Visitors and Specialist Looked After Children Nurses.
- Liaise with other key professionals such as Social Workers, Education and Police colleagues to promote the health needs of Looked After Children
- Provide health advice and guidance to Looked After Children and their families/carers
The Ideal CandidateYou will be a registered nurse, midwife or mental health nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-graduate experience and have a caring and approachable demeanour in order to gain the trust and respect of local families and children.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
