About The Role

We are seeking a clinically confident and experienced Lead Pharmacist to take ownership of pharmacy leadership at our Scimitar Park site. This is a non-patient-facing role, focused on high-cost, specialist medications not commonly seen in community pharmacy.As the sites Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in medicines management, clinical decision-making, and regulatory compliance. Youll bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and the confidence to make decisions based on experience and best practice.Key Responsibilities-Act as the Responsible Pharmacist for the site-Provide clinical leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations-Lead and develop a team of pharmacists and technicians-Ensure compliance with GPhC standards and regulatory frameworks-Support medicines management and clinical governance initiatives-Collaborate with internal teams to drive service excellence-Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and business projectsWhat a Typical Day Looks Like-Leading the pharmacy team and ensuring smooth daily operations-Making clinical decisions based on best practice and experience-Supporting staff development through mentoring and coaching-Liaising with QA, compounding, and customer service teams-Driving continuous improvement in pharmaceutical care

Main duties of the job

About You

-GPhC-registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing qualification-Proven experience in a senior or leadership role-Strong background in medicines management-Clinically confident with sound judgement and decision-making skills-Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational abilities
