Back to Life Limited is a successful training organisation specialising in delivering simulation-led resuscitation training courses to the NHS & private healthcare organisations. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Training & Development Manager to head up our UK operations.

You will be responsible for maintaining the quality & standards of all training courses delivered by the company, as well as develop new & innovative learning experiences. You will communicate with key clinical & non-clinical leads and help to source & negotiate new contracts, to enable the business to grow.

Acting as the key contact for clients; providing expert advice & supporting the provision of training programmes, you will be passionate & knowledgeable about resuscitation & teaching, looking for an employer that will help you grow & experience a wide range of courses & healthcare industries. Travelling is part of the role, & you will need to have a current driving licence & access to a vehicle.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be a skilled facilitator with ALS/EPLS instructor status and needs to be NMC, GMC or HPC registered. A teaching qualification, along with experience of running RCUK courses & use of LMD is essential.

Working closely with the MD & Ops Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Develop & implement national course strategy
  • Provide expertise & be a point of contact for trainers & clients on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques & equipment relating to resuscitation
  • Build new & deliver training courses, recruit teaching faculty, & simulated emergency drills
  • Actively pursue Quality Awards to help promote the organisation
  • Co-ordinate an assessment programme
  • Manage, maintain, track & audit all equipment
  • Review completed evaluations & ensure testimonials are updated
  • Maintain & develop external links with clinical networks to help develop & grow knowledge/market presence of the organisation

  • To ensure all training courses are appropriately and adequately resourced with trainers and equipment
  • To co-ordinate an assessment programme for all staff training for the company
  • To manage, maintain, track and audit all equipment owned by the organisation
  • To review completed evaluations and ensure testimonials are updated

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledge and expertise to help build new face to face and online training courses/packages
  • Recruit teaching faculty for national courses, to meet the needs of current and future training activities
  • Deliver training courses when required to maintain a service at all times
  • Provide recommendations and feedback when additional resources and manpower are required
  • Deliver and write up simulated emergency drills
  • Provide support and guidance on appropriate equipment for clients
  • Ensure Back to Life training equipment is in accordance with current Resuscitation guidance for training, and is cleaned and maintained in accordance with Risk management and infection control company policy
  • Provide professional expert advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques and equipment relating to resuscitation
  • To maintain and develop external links with clinical networks to help develop and grow the knowledge and market presence of the organisation
  • Lead on projects and/or research activities undertaken by the company
  • To actively promote the services of the company to the external market
  • To contribute to the strategic direction of the company and work closely with the senior management team to develop and grow the business
  • To lead monthly training meetings to update the senior management team on contract activity and training matters
  • To run bi-monthly virtual trainers meetings to update all trainers with new developments and help to retain the culture of value and support for the trainers who help to ensure our company is known for his high quality and standard
  • Maintain the efficient delivery of the Resuscitation Council (RCUK) courses
