We are looking for a confidentMaintenance Assistant to carry out a range of day-to-day maintenance tasks in order to ensure the hospital is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atCygnet Hospital Harrow.

You will be working 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday) -(8am - 4pm) or (9am - 5pm)

Cygnet Hospital Harrowprovides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Our acute in-patient psychiatric services offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals with a wide range of psychological and emotional problems, including those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Undertake day-to-day maintenance and planned remedial works to keep plant, services and vehicles in working order, keeping records of call-outs and routine checks as directed.

• Carry out a range of tasks including decorating, basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work

• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles

• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty e quipment and potential hazards

• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.

You are...

• Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years

• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information

• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance

• Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry

• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.

• Car Driver (advantageous)
