Job responsibilities

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, youll play a pivotal role in our dynamic procurement team, supporting the ongoing development and performance of your own team, while leading the Corporate category within our department.

Joining us on a full time 37.5 hour per week basis, you will work in a hybrid capacity, working remotely with 1-2 days per week within our London office.

Your day-to-day...

  • Lead a team of 3 Strategic Buyers responsible for categories including: Care, Digital Services, and Soft Facilities Management.
  • Work with and mentor your team to Analyse, prepare business cases and implement procurement led improvements.
  • Support your team to assist key stakeholders in contract management of suppliers.
  • Encourage and support your team to Improve supplier performance. Actively manage suppliers and cost base.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to manage budgets and the direction of the department.
  • Manage your own Corporate Category responsible for areas including but not limited to: Insurance, Legal, Training, Business Travel & Accommodation, Contracts & Policies.
  • Ensure all group policies & procedures are adhered to.

You are...

  • An experienced Procurement professional, ideally with a background of indirect procurement.
  • A team leader with the ability to coach and mentor a small team.
  • A strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver value and innovation through procurement.
  • Able to drive strategic change, prepare business cases and improve supplier performance
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, supplier management and sourcing strategy, with a clear understanding of the full procurement lifecycle.
  • Highly analytical, able to interpret data to drive procurement decisions, influence stakeholders and monitor supplier performance.
  • An excellent communicator, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders. Operational colleagues and external suppliers.
  • A self-starter, comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, purpose driven organisation.
  • Highly detail-oriented & an expert on sourcing & buying indirect on a large-scale
  • Solution-minded, flexible in thinking & willing to learn.
