As Resident Medical Officer, youll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Hospital Hexham. This is a our 27 bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital is built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment.
TheRMOis the Doctor covering on calls between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and 9am -9am weekend shifts. Generally the RMO will work on a rota of4 days on / 3 days offevery week.

We are looking for someone who is...
- Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
- An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
- Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
- Committed to continued professional development
