We have an opportunity for a full-time Specialty Doctor to shape services at Cygnet Hospital Colchester while being fully supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist and first-class multidisciplinary team.
This role will be based on our Learning Disability and ASD services in the Hospital, including our new ward Chestnut Court which will be a 5-bed LD/ASD and associated complex needs service opening in April 2024.
The aim of our services is assessment, stabilisation, treatment and engagement, with a view to supporting service users in the least restrictive environment appropriate to their needs. Our services are recovery-focused, with the aim of preparing individuals for a move to step-down services, and ultimately, back into the community wherever possible.
The post holder would be expected to rotate in other wards in accordance with service needs and considering professional needs and this will be discussed with the post holder in advance.
