Job responsibilities

Cygnetis looking for a highly motivated and enthusiasticTeam Leaderto assist with managing the day-to-day running of our service. This is a fantastic opportunity for aSenior Care Workerwho has a wealth of experience and looking to advance their career.

Oakhurst Lodge is an 8 bed specialist residential service for adults with autism and who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Youre day-to-day

  • Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely
  • Working alongside our Support Workers and offering support and guidance
  • Liaising with residents families and local authorities
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe & clean environment for all

You are

  • Experienced support worker currently working as a Senior or Team Leader
  • Experience in completing employee supervisions and spot checks
  • An excellent communicator & a good team player
  • Previous experience in either shift leading or leading a team
  • Able to show a strong understanding of CQC Standards
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with Autism and Challenging Behaviour
  • Desireably completed or due to complete NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Experience with medication administration

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
