Job summary

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. 

Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development. 

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway. 

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists

Main duties of the job

Long Eaton Day Services is a mixed gender service, specialised in supporting adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs and physical disabilities and those with autism. 

Our Day Services have a focus on demonstrating outcomes and value through activities. Our staffing model provides one member of staff for every two people as a minimum. This allows us to deliver a meaningful activity plan for each person. 

Our services are led by three key disciplines: occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. 

Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to develop a clear and focused activity plan that works towards maximising an individuals potential. 

 This is a part-time role working 16 - 20 hours per week .
