Job summary

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists.

Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists

Broughton Lodge is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and a learning disability who may present with behaviours that challenge.

The service aims to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Sutton & Langley provide a high level of support for individuals who may be stepping down from a hospital setting or experienced multiple placement breakdowns. Bosley supports individuals who are preparing to move onto supported living. They provide a structured programme of vocational activity and daily living skills to enable the individual to experience a less restrictive environment safely.

Specialist Residential Autism Services

Summary of the site:

Broughton Lodge is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and a learning disability who may present with behaviours that challenge. The service aims to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of residents within the service. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assist the service in providing outcome based care and support pathways.

In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to individuals diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments and associated risks in order to develop treatment plans & care and support plans. You will also empower staff to improve the quality of care through training provision.

We understand the pandemic has brought with it challenging times, and we recognise this may have had an impact on some of your placement experiences. We offer an Occupational Therapy 12 month preceptorship programme to support and consolidate core Occupational Therapy Skills.
