Job summary

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists.

Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists

Main duties of the job

Cygnet Nield House in Crewe is a 29 bed mental health hospital for women. Cygnet Nield House is split into two distinct wards, each offering specialist mental health services.

Compton Ward is a 15 bed acute service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

The occupational therapy department has qualitied OTs as well as activity co-ordinators.

Service Line: Mental Health Adults (Acute) - Compton Ward

Cygnet Nield House in Crewe is a 29 bed mental health hospital for women. Cygnet Nield House is split into two distinct wards, each offering specialist mental health services. Compton Ward is a 15 bed acute service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. We understand the pandemic has brought with it challenging times, and we recognise this may have had an impact on some of your placement experiences. We offer an Occupational Therapy 12 month preceptorship programme to support and consolidate core Occupational Therapy Skills.
