Job summary
At Schoen Clinic York we are looking for caring individuals who can combine clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care to join our highly specialised clinic treating adults within a mental health setting.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure that the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families,
- To act as patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met,
- To report any issues that are identified by patients or their relatives on a timely basis,
- To ensure that all provision of nursing care is documented on a timely basis and accurately
- To ensure that individual care plans are followed
- To ensure meals are supervised and care plan around meals are followed.
- With training and competency assessed, be able to pass Naso-gastric tubes in line with NG procedure.
- With training and competency assessed carry out phlebotomy for patients.
- To ensure a high standard of infection control and the prevention of all avoidable healthcare associated infections.
- To administer all drugs and medications as per the local policies and procedures
- Ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Children Act are fulfilled, as applicable.
- To successfully complete the Immediate Life Support course on an annual basis, as per the Schoen Clinic Group policy Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation: GP Clinical 48, section,
- To ensure personal continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained to comply with NMC registration, including Revalidation requirements,
- To ensure records and notes are kept to a high standard for all service users and to support the accurate record keeping across the service
