Are you an experienced CBT/DBT Psychotherapist passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment?

Schoen Clinic Chelsea are looking for a dynamic and committed professional to join our exceptional team.

As a Psychotherapist at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, you will play a key role in providing both group and individual therapy for adults on the Anxiety and Mood Disorders pathway. You will work independently, managing your caseload, providing 1:1 CBT-based therapy, and applying group facilitation skills to support the clinic's day treatment programme.

Your experience in CBT and/or DBT group facilitation and individual therapy will support our commitment to clinical excellence. You will be actively involved in weekly MDT meetings and play a crucial part in developing patient care plans, risk assessments, and treatment outcomes.

Main duties of the job

  • Complete psychological assessments with patients and attend MDT meetings to review patients on a regular basis, incorporating CBT/DBT-informed perspectives where appropriate.

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic services and maintain a regular clinical caseload.

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using best practice and evidence-based approaches.

  • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programmes.

  • Participate in clinical supervision, monthly peer Balint groups, and CPD presentations.

  • Work with the Therapy Services Manager and Quality Team to utilise Routine Outcome Measures for audit and research.

  • Ensure care is delivered with cultural competence, and in alignment with equality, diversity, and inclusion standards

  • Post qualification experience which demonstrates a range of skills and competencies in conducting specialist assessments to inform psychological formulation and therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience of working with both a broad breadth of mental health conditions, including anxiety & mood/personality disorders.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of psychological theories to health and social care.
  • Ability to evaluate own practice and experience of using routine outcome measures in clinically meaningful ways.
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide psychological consultation, lead reflective practice sessions and collaborative care planning
  • Demonstrate an ability in delivering formal and informal training to the staff team and professionals from outside of Schoen when needed.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts, formulations and sensitive information to patients, carers/families and professionals.
