Job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for any Radiologist (ST4 level
and above) experienced in reviewing trauma scans to work from home - whilst
aiding patients, hospital staff and police officers.
The Reconstruction Radiologist is the first role of its kind.
SFR Medical has already revolutionised the connection of UK Police Forces and
medical institutions in the quick provision of high quality medical evidence
for victims of violent crime. We have reduced the waiting time of medical
statements from three-six months to less than ten working days. We have now
expanded our product offerings to include medical reports that include
reconstructed images of injuries taken directly from that victim's Computerised
Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) images. These reports are
often a game-changer for patients, as they enable non-medical personnel amongst
the police, jury and lawyers to easily understand the gravitas of injuries as
well as the consequences of two differing stab wounds. This in turn, aids just
charging decisions and sentencing. This is an exciting and pioneering
role, that will benefit so many and ensure justice is achieved.
Main duties of the job
UK Police Forces will contact SFR Medical asking specific
questions about injuries sustained by victims of violent crime. Such questions
may be "What was the depth of the wound to the left side of the
flank?" "How close to vital blood vessels was the wound trajectory to
the right side of the neck?" Via our secure portal system, the
Reconstruction Radiologist would be provided with the relevant signed consent
form and the relevant Computerised Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance
Imaging (MRI) scan images of that patient. The Reconstruction Radiologist would
then complete a templated medical report answering the question, adding
annotations to reconstructed images to help demonstrate their answer(s). This
report will then be used as medical evidence by that UK Police Force.
