Job summary
This role is accountable for performing imaging procedures
which may include MRI, CT, Xray, Dexa or Ultrasound, deferring to Senior or
Lead radiologists when required. This role requires a high degree of
professionalism at all times to ensure provision of a high quality, responsive
and patient-focused service.
Main duties of the job
Undertaking a wide variety MRI, CT and Xrays,
Preparing patients for imaging procedures,
explains the procedure and ensures that the patient is comfortable and properly
positioned.
Ensuring all referrals are justified and provide
advise on protocols, if required
Ensuring consistently high-quality images are
produced.
Assessing images for quality and clinical
significant and escalate urgent findings as necessary.
Administering contrast media in line with PGD
guidance, SOPs & protocols.
Responsible for own clinical areas with regards
to linen change and cleanliness.
