Job summary

Medical Imaging Partnership are looking for a Respiratory Technician to join the Community Spirometry service based at Brighton Diagnostic Treatment Centre.You will play a crucial role in providing direct patient car and supporting the medical team in delivering high quality healthcare services.

This role holder will work within their professional boundaries under supervision of the site Registered Manager and in accordance with specific guidelines and protocols.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct quality-assured respiratory tests (spirometry, inhaler use, asthma testing).
  • Administer bronchodilators and perform diagnostic assessments per national guidelines.
  • Collect brief medical histories for safe practice.
  • Enter test results and prepare electronic reports accurately.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring quality control and reporting issues.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues via email, letter, and telephone.
  • Perform simple repairs on spirometry equipment and manage replacements as needed.

Your Role:As a Respiratory Technician, you will:
