Job summary

You will be working within Rosewood Primary Care Network, which includes 5 practices based in Mansfield Town Centre (NG18)

The successful candidate will have a qualification or equivalent experience in a data collection and analysis role preferably within the NHS. On the job training with be given but a basic understanding is essential.

The main aim will be to support GP Practices and the Primary Care Network in collecting and analysing data from NHS Systems to maximise income and improve patient care.

This is a nonpatient facing role and the successful candidate will be working closely with the Practice Managers in all 5 practices and the Primary Care Networks Digital & Transformation Lead. The Rosewood PCN is a well-established and forward-thinking organisation, and this role is critical in helping us progress into the next phase of our development process.

Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gathering and analysing data at Practice and PCN level.
  • Identify missing data and gaps in clinical coding.
  • Working alongside Practice Managers to processing financial claims and reports at Practice & PCN level.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Data analysis qualification or equivalent experience
  • Critical thinker
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales

The purpose of the role is to provide general IT and Data support to the Rosewood PCN Practice teams. This will include gathering and recording data, running reports, and interrogating data. You will also assist the practices and PCN with related administrative duties, and develop and improve procedures and data quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by the PCN Data Analyst may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time dependent on current and evolving Practice workloads and staffing levels:
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all Practice systems and procedures
  • Assist the practice managers with the submission of claims on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Pro-actively run reports for QOF, and other enhanced services
  • Extract data and identify patients for research purposes
  • Support the PCN in current and future PCN Contracts with data extraction etc
  • Assist with the gathering of statistics and information for quality improvement purposes
  • Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; process and record information in accordance with Practice procedures
  • Compile audits and reports and interrogate data for audit purposes
  • Pro-actively initiate data quality improvement projects
