Job summary
We are looking to recruit a skilled, experienced & enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician in order to provide technical and administrative support to the Clinical Pharmacist and clinicians, encourage the development of a better understanding of the principles of medicines optimisation throughout the practice teams, support the practice teams with medication queries from patients, help patients to get the best from their medicines and play an active role in practice work flow processes designed to release time for care for patients.
You will be based within Arrow Health Primary Care Network which covers:
- Westdale Lane Surgery, NG4 3JA
- Daybrook Medical Practice, NG5 6HP
- The Ivy Medical Group, NG14 5BG
- Peacock Healthcare, NG4 1HQ
- Plains View Surgery, NG3 5LB
- Unity Surgery, NG3 6EU
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake patient facing and patient supporting roles to ensure effective medicines use, through shared decision-making conversations with patients.
- Carry out medicines optimisation tasks including effective medicine administration (e.g. checking inhaler technique), supporting medication reviews and medicines reconciliation.
- Support the PCN multi-disciplinary team to ensure efficient medicines optimisation processes are being followed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Professional registration with GPhC
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Demonstrate ability to influence and persuade partners and stakeholders of the respective merits of different options, innovations new opportunities and challenges
