Job summary
As a First Contact Physiotherapist, you will work alongside the multi-disciplinary teams within the Primary Care Network. You will be a dedicated professional who shares the values of PICS and the NHS to deliver high quality primary care. You will clinically manage musculoskeletal conditions of your patients through clinical expertise working autonomously when assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with varying conditions.
PICS has two Clinical FCP Leads in post that are ensuring its FCP’s are fulfilling the requirements of the Health Education England FCP Roadmap. We are committed to further the development of FCP as specialist MSK professionals in primary care.
You will be based within Nottingham West Primary Care Network (PCN) which covers Stapleford, Eastwood and Beeston. It has a patient population in excess of 50,000. You will be part of a wider team of FCPs and supported by our Clinical Lead FCP who is on the PICS leadership team.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be experience of working at a specialist level with a purely-MSK caseload
- To be a MSK practitioner who can work autonomously to deliver MSK physiotherapist assessments and treatment plans
- To support their patient to ensure their needs and expectations are understood
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of three years musculoskeletal experience
