Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist (FCP) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about providing high quality care.
PICS has two Clinical FCP Leads in post that are ensuring its FCPs are fulfilling the requirements of the Health Education England FCP Roadmap. We are committed to further the development of FCP as specialist MSK professionals in primary care.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To work as an autonomous specialist MSK practitioner in providing and delivering musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans
- To act independently to assess, analyse and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients, including those presenting with complex conditions, to determine their need for further MSK or non-MSK intervention. This should involve an understanding of when to refer to other services such as diagnostics, pathology, T&O, medication reviews, pain management, rheumatology, community physiotherapy and injection therapy
- Write contemporaneous clinical notes using SystmOne, Arden's Templates and provide advice and support with additional electronic software (eg. PhysioTec, AccuRx etc) in line with professional standards
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of three years musculoskeletal experience
