Job summary

As a Paramedic, you will provide high quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients with both primary care and acute care needs, responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency situations and transporting ambulant/non-ambulant patients whilst ensuring that the patient receives high quality, professional and compassionate care.

Main duties of the job

  • Valid HCPC registration
  • Minimum 2yrs experience w/NHS trust post qualification
  • Full UK manual driving licence with category B. No more than 6 penalty points
  • Experience of emergency and non-emergency driving
  • Minimum of two years driving experience since first holding a full UK Licence
  • Experience of working with Bariatric, Paediatric and Neonatal patients
  • Willingness to travel across the region
  • Ability to travel to various to other work locations

Desirable Person Specification

  • Valid Emergency Response Driver's qualification
  • Experience of working within a secure environment

As a frontline clinician you will be expected to apply your clinical skills in a variety of environments with patients from all backgrounds and walks of life. You will need to be highly motivated with the ability to work well under pressure and deal with stressful and highly-emotive situations, giving the best and most appropriate care to all of your patients.

You will be supported in clinical decision making by our Clinical Leadership Team around the clock. No decision is made without the knowledge that support is only a radio call away.
