Job summary
We are looking for a senior nurse who has proven quality
experience
across clinical, governance and risk management, and in-depth knowledge of the
healthcare sector including the role of CQC and CQC requirements. As Head of Quality you will support the Hospital Director to initiate,
develop, implement and evaluate and maintain a comprehensive patient
safety/incident management process across the full range of the Hospitals
activities.
Main duties of the job
You will oversee all quality management
activities for the hospital whilst adhering to the Hospitals Incident
Management Policy, including patient care and relations, risk management and
safety, performance improvement, infection control and the management of serious
Incidents ensuring there is a system in place to investigate, report on and
review all serious incidents, providing quality assurance of incident
reporting. You will embed learning from incidents, oversee compliance with
audits, the site risk register and ensure escalation to the corporate risk
register as appropriate. You will be able to recognise the need for referral to
statutory bodies (e.g. safeguarding, DoLS, MHA, MCA, etc) and ensure
documentation is completed as necessary.
You will also be required to prepare monthly reports outlining
complaints activity for the Director of Clinical Quality and reporting
quarterly to the Clinical Quality Sub Committee.
Provide
on-call clinical advice to the team, as required.

dependency support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health
problems and challenging behaviour including offending behaviour. Our site is
split into six wards each comprising of six bedrooms.
Our aim is to help patients move into the community as soon as possible and to
improve longer term outcome. This is achieved by proving a high
quality safe and secure environment that encourages the development of skills
and competencies.
Oakwood House is a
supported living community service in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent city
where we support adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum
disorders to transition from mental health hospitals into a community setting.
We have capacity for 8 adults. All our rooms have
en-suite bathroom facilities, a separate bedroom and lounge and access to a
fully equipped shared kitchen area.
We put those in our
care first; they are the heart of everything we do.
