This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and ambitious physiotherapist to join our brilliant team. Our Therapies team offers services including of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Hand Therapy, Lymphoedema Therapy, and Complementary Therapies and strives to give every one of our patients a world-class experience supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team. As our Lead Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist, you will join our therapy leadership team and will report directly into the Therapy Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of first-class patient outcomes and experience at the highest professional and clinical standards. Your role will include governance responsibilities across this service ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies. You are expected to lead our critical care Physiotherapy services and to steer the development of new service opportunities like cardiac rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job
Practise as an autonomous and accountable professional using reflective practise and clinical
reasoning in undertaking specialist assessments and providing an individualised treatment
programme for each patient.
provide exceptional programmes of care for the patients in your care through assessment and implementation of highly specialist treatments to maximise their rehabilitation outcomes.
Communicate condition-related information to patients, relatives and carers and use
appropriate methods to address barriers to communication.
Deal sensitively and empathetically with distressing or emotional circumstances regarding patient care.
Support your team members in the management of challenging clinical situations.
Obtain informed, valid consent on an ongoing basis which endeavours to keep patients involved in their own health care plan.
Comply with confidentiality policies as set out by Cromwell Hospital (CH), HCPC and the CSP.
Respect a patients right to be chaperoned and appropriately implement the hospital chaperone policy.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient treatment records and reports in line with local and national requirements for best management of the patient.
Manage clinical risk within your caseload and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed.

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:
You are a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist able to undertake all aspects of your clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
You will provide a client-centred and evidence-based service to adult in- and outpatients in your speciality which will include outpatient and inpatient referrals across all hospital wards and external referrals within your field.
You will promote a cohesive, dynamic, and coordinated Cardiothoracic Physiotherapy team respected and valued by the wider MDT.
Youll also receive:
Equivalent to 25 days holiday per year, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
