In shaping the unique beginning of our new Critical Care Unit, we are looking for a Clinical Informatics Nurse who can support our ICU department with world class care

Main duties of the job

What youll do:

Our 10 single bedded general Critical Care Unit is a brand-new state of the art facility. Caring for Level 2 and Level 3 patients, we support a range of cases which include Colorectal, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Lung surgery, Renal Transplants, Vascular, Liver Robotics, Neuro, Maxillofacial and Medical patients. The ICCA health record system is used widely within ICU departments to collect data digitally to monitor and improve the services we deliver.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development, configuration, and customization of the ICCA system to meet clinical and operational needs.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the ICCA system, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff on the use of the ICCA system, promoting best practices and efficient use.
  • Oversee data integrity, security, and compliance within the ICCA system, ensuring accurate and reliable patient information.
  • Work closely with IT, clinical staff, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, and to continuously improve system functionality.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and user guides.
  • Maintaining and developing ICCAs interoperability with different devices and applications
  • Ensuring the system is in line hospital and national policies / guidance
  • Building SQL reports to do data analysis
  • Monitoring the backup systems and processes

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in working with Excel
  • Ideally experience in using SQL
  • Effective communication and training skills.
