Job summary

Role Overview

As an Anaesthetic Practitioner/nurse you will be a key member of our Angiography team, delivering safe quality of care to patients during their peri-operative phase of care.

You will have a minimum of two years current experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner. At least some of the experience should ideally come from covering cardiac/Cath lab cases. You will be able to show evidence of continuing professional development, hold relevant qualifications and comply with HCPC/NMC professional registration.

We offer mostly weekday, long day bank shifts at a competitive rate.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe anaesthetic assistance and support to the anaesthetist.

  • Ensure safe knowledge and administration of drugs in accordance with HCPC/NMC and our hospital policies.

  • Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of anaesthetic equipment and the necessary checks/tests to maintain a safe environment for our patients.

  • Ensure accurate record keeping in accordance with agreed policies and standards.

  • Be responsible for the smooth running of Angiography department, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ensure that all relevant areas you work in are adequately stocked and kept clean.

  • Undertake regular mandatory training.
