We are looking for an organized, self-motivated, pro-active, problem solving individual who takes pride in their work. Someone who has practical audit experience in a customer facing service industry.

About us
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the North PFI Estates & Facilities Department who is looking to appoint an Apprentice Facilities Monitoring Officer working alongside the Soft FM Contracting Team whilst undertaking the Level 2 qualification.
The post holder will support with monitoring the Soft FM Services including (but not limited to) Domestic Services, Catering, Linen and Laundry, Pest Control and Security through audits and data analysis.
The post holder will also carry out a range of office/clerical duties to support the North PFI Team, including minute taking, diary management and data collection for the monthly reports.

The post will be based at Venture House, Edrington but will require travel to our other Trusts sites.
At SSL, we work in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), to deliver facilities management, transport and other support services to over 50 sites across the West Midlands. Our team keeps expanding and since our establishment, in 2012, we have grown rapidly though the acquisition of new sites and services.

Key Responsibilities:
Organisational
- Carry out tasks assigned by the Soft FM Monitoring Officer. Work alongside experienced staff and gain on the job specific skills.
- Assisting the Estates and Facilities Team with administrative and clerical support
- Creating meeting minutes and diary management as required
- Production and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets, photocopying and filing (electronic and hard copies) as required.
- Collate information and help produce monthly reports
- Raise purchase Orders and receipt for Goods received
- Complete Ad-hoc duties relevant to your role.
- Assist in undertaking Facilities Audits and recording findings on the Electronic Audit software (including but not limited to, Cleaning Audits, Kitchen Surveys and Efficacy Surveys).
- To contribute to the continual improvement of audit elements where services can be improved to best support the Services and clinical teams
- To support in maintaining the audit software and make any changes as required including creating new users and password re-sets.
- Participate in the PLACE Audits and provide administrative support.
- Liaising with the Soft FM Contracting Team to support specific areas to improve standards through targeted and coordinated monitoring and rectification.
- To monitor all Facilities Service documentation, including but not limited to temperature checks, water management, cleaning schedules, HAACP and COSHH Documentation, ensuring it has been completed within agreed specification.
- To follow the SSL guidelines on health and safety and work in a safe manner with regards to the Codes of Practice.
- Compliance with time recording procedures and adherence to allocated break times. Training/Appraisal/Meetings.
- To take an active role in the promotion and full principles of the apprenticeship programme.
- To be actively involved in on-the-job training and theory assessments
- To participate in the Trusts appraisal process and contribute to a personal development.
Communication
- Clear spoken and written English skills and basic understanding of ITC such as word.
