We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. The successful candidate will need to be able to independently and safely manage MSK patients in a GP based setting as an initial assessing clinician.

This is a full time role for37.5 hours a week. Part time hours are also available. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • 3 years MSK experience as a physiotherapist
  • Completed stage 1 of the FCP Road Map
  • Online e learning FCP competency's completed
  • Injection qualification would be preferable
  • Independent prescribing would be of benefit

Main duties of the job

Duties of this role include:

  • To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for relevant departments participating in these patients pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate.
  • To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally.
  • To ensure the department maintains CHG Physiotherapy accreditation.
  • Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up to date personal portfolio.

  • Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered as a physiotherapist
  • Must have completed stage 1 of the FCP Road map
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification physiotherapy experience that includes at least 3 years experience in specialist MSK rehabilitation
  • Have a well rounded CPD history that includes personal learning and development regarding the rehabilitation of MSK impaired patients
  • Previous leadership experience that includes supervising and
  • managing staff, audit and teaching
  • Ability to implement innovative ideas and influence change
  • Ability to modify programmes according to the results of
