WHAT DO WE DO IN CIRCLE DECONTAMINATION?
We are responsible for the provision of sterile equipment, instrumentation and reprocessed
flexible endoscopes for use in surgical and diagnostic procedures.

You maintain the sterility and cleanliness of our instrumentation and flexible endoscopes.
You maintain an Instrument store on behalf of our Scottish Circle hospitals.

WHAT DO YOU DO?
You are in charge of the operational responsibility for the Circle Decontamination facility in
Glasgow.
You provide leadership, strategic direction and facilities management service to the Circle
Glasgow Circle Decontamination facility, thus enabling the unit to deliver a high quality, efficient
and cost-effective service to all of its users.
You develop the business, both internally and externally, in line with Company policies, building
relationships and trust to become a supplier of first choice.
You lead, train and motivate the operational team and ensure staff are recruited and developed
to the agreed level of competence.
You ensure effective financial management and control, including budgeting costing and
relevant reports.
You undertake performance data analysis and ensure excellent communication to all staff.
You participate in current and future Glasgow projects.
You ensure compliance with Company policies and legislative requirements to include,
financial, Health & Safety, clinical, Infection Control and HR related issues.
You contribute and participate as an individual and representative of Circle Decontamination
in future development and roll out of the Companys strategy.
You drive and achieve the units financial and operative directives on an annual basis.
You monitor market changes, competitors and trends. You conduct ongoing benchmarking of
marketplace including NHS practice and respond pro-actively to the associated challenges.
You keep excellent relations with key customer representatives, consultants and other
associated clinical users.
You develop positive and pro-active relationships, in conjunction with business development,
with external customers in the development of external business.
You set operational objective to ensure that activity is delivered on time and to the agreed
accredited standard and implement corrective action, when deficiencies arise.
You develop and implement local and corporate management practices, which will enhance
the units performance.
You meet reporting requirements of Circle Decontamination, Circle Health Group and
customer needs, ensuring full compliance with reporting requirements, including monthly
management reports.
You embrace and have responsibility for the units recruitment, development, motivation and
retention of quality and committed staff.
You set high personal and professional standards in line with Company policy.
You maintain the Quality Management System and our accreditation with the British
Standards Institute, along with registration with the MHRA as a Medical Device Reprocessor,
incorporating the relevant Medical Device Regulations and Standards applicable to
decontamination (ISO 13485/ISO 9001)
You develop and maintain an excellent reputation in the local area as a high quality service
provider and employer, who is an integral and important part of the local community.
You liaise with suppliers and customers as required.
You liaise with Circle Health Groups support functions.
You attend customer decontamination group meetings as required and are proactive in all
aspects of relevant activity of the Customer.
You are flexible to the developing and changing needs of the role and adapt accordingly.
You perform any other related duties as reasonably required.
You are flexible in your work time as the units workforce is split into shift patterns.
Due to the nature of the work and work areas, a Hepatitis B immunisation is required for this
job role.
