Lead Theatre Practitioner - Neuro and General SurgeryThe Meriden Hospital Full Time - PermanentUp to £40,000 plus benefits (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for aLeadTheatre Practitionerto join their team of staff in the Theatre department.

This is aFull timerole for37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern, covering Earlies and Lates, Monday to Saturday.

Main duties of the job

  • To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care. To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
  • To lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty.
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • First surgical assistant certificate
  • Additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics.
  • ILS.
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
  • The department requires skilled and experienced practitioner
  • Mentor qualification desirable
  • Must be proficient with both specialities.

  • Minimum 3 year experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, over view of leading other.
