We have an opportunity for a Practice Based Educator to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.
This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered General Nurse, Part 1 on NMC register or registered practitioner on the HCPC.
- Teaching / education (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or Masters) and mentoring qualification.
- Sound theoretical knowledge.
- Demonstrates evidence of professional development.
- Knowledge of NMC and HCPC Codes and guidelines.
- Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Experience of teaching and educating staff
- Experience in Practice Education desirable

- Working closely with the hospital senior management team to co-ordinate and provide delivery of

- Provide guidance and support to Hospital managers and staff in the implementation of competencies
and utilisation of the resources to support them.
- Link closely with learning coordinator and corporate regional clinical educator to ensure alignment to
corporate strategic plan and priorities and able to articulate and support them.
- Initiate audits of nursing practice, evaluating the impact of existing and new practices to improve
patient care.
